Items Required

  • 5mm (H) hook
  • 1-2 x 50g ball of Sierra Andina by Adriafil (Colour; 21 Mélange Burgundy)
  • Stitch marker
  • Wool needle

Guidelines

At the end of each round just carry on, do not join with a slip stitch.

Mark the start of each round and then move marker as a round is completed.

Abbreviations

  • HK – hook
  • CH – chain
  • SS – Slip Stitch
  • SC – Single crochet
  • SC Inc – Single Crochet Increase (Increase by placing 2 sc in 1 stitch)
  • SC Dec – Single Crochet Decrease (Hook through 1st stitch, yarn over hook, pull hook through, hook through next stitch, yarn over hook, pull through. Yarn over hook and through all the loops.)
  • Puff Stitch - Yarn over (yo), insert the hook in the stitch, yarn over, draw the yarn through the stitch, yarn over, and draw the yarn through the 2 loops on the hook. In the same stitch, repeat the preceding step twice. Yarn over and draw the yarn through all 4 loops on the hook.
  • Picot Stitch - Ch 3, 1 ss in 3rd ch from hk
  • ( ) or * * - repeat stitches within

Gauge

8 sts & 10 rows = 2”

If your hat is coming out too big, go down one hook size and vice versa if it’s too small.

Sizing Guide

Approximately 23.5” (60cm) circumference.

To make the hat wider, don’t make as many decrease rounds.

To make the depth deeper, copy round 30) for the amount required.

130-135 meters (mine used 130.34 meters)

142-147 yards (142.54 yards)
