Head circumference of the beret: 56-58 cm.

You'll need:

400 g of violet yarn Schachenmayr Original Bravo Mezzo (100% polyacryl, 165m/100g);
Crochet hook 7.

Placket ornament: make single crochets, insert your hook only through back loops of the previous row sts.

Main ornament: make a chain of even sts number and crochet circle row.

1st row: 3 chain sts increase, 1 double crochet through back loop of each chain st of the initial chain, finish with 1 slip st in the 3rd chain st increase;

2nd row: 3 chain sts increase, * 1 half treble crochet through front loop in 2 chain sts of the initial chain, crochet these 2 treble crochets with together, slip 1 single crochet of the previous row; repeat from *, finish with 1 slip st in 3rd chain st increase;

3rd row: 3 chain sts increase, * make 1 half treble crochet in the base of double crochet: once before double crochet, once after double crochet (to make it, insert your hook under short lateral yarn and slipped st), then crochet these 2 treble crochets together; make 1 double crochet in 2 treble crochets of the previous row, that were crochet together; repeat from *, finish with 1 slip st in the 3rd chain st increase.

Make 1st and 2nd rows once, then repeat the 3rd row.

Stitches control: 6-7 sts and 7-8 rows = 10 x 4,5 cm.

Cowl

Make a chain of 110 chain sts very loosely, circle it with 1 slip st and crochet with the main ornament = 55 groups of double crochets. In 13 rows make 1 circle row with slip st very loosely and finish your work.

Beret

Make a chain of 50 chain sts and circle it with 1 slip st, crochet with the placket ornament. In 4,5 cm = 7 rows from the set-up edge, crochet with the main ornament, starting with the 2nd row: 2 treble crochets together in front half sts of the 1st and 2nd single crochets of the placket's last row, make double crochet, which is located between them, through back half loop of the 2nd single crochet = 25 groups of treble crochets. Then constantly repeat the 3rd row of the main ornament. In 12 rows of the main ornament, start making decreases. To make them, you should constantly slip groups of treble crochets, i.e., make 1 group of treble crochets of the orevious row from double crochet from both sides and make 1 double crochet in the next double crochet. Finish your work in 3 rows.
