Starting Rows

Row 1: ch 6, join to form a ring, ch 3, 19 dc in the ring, join (20 dc).

Row 2: ch 4, 1 dc, ch 1 in the same st, [Sm V Shell made] *skip 1 st, 1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc, ch 1 in the next st, [NO ch 1 in last shell] *Repeat around, join (10 Sm V Shells made).

Row 3: sl into ch 1 space of Sm Shell, ch 3, 1 dc, ch 1, 2 dc in the same st, ch 1, *work Lg. Shell in each ch 1 space of Sm Shell around, join.

Row 4: slip into ch 1 space of Shell, ch 3, 1 dc, ch 1, 2 dc in the same space, ch 2 *2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc, ch 2, *in each ch 1 space of Lg Shell around, join.

Row 5: slip into ch 1 space of Shell, ch 3, 1 dc, ch 1, 2 dc in the same space, ch 1, 2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc in ch 2 space, & in each ch 1 space around, join (20 Lg. V Shells).

Row 6: Repeat Row 3.

Row 7: Repeat Row 4.

Row 8: slip into ch 1 space of Shell, ch 3, 1 dc, ch 1, 2 dc in the same space, ch 1, 2 dc in the next ch 2 space, ch 1, 2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc in each ch 1 space of Shell **REPEAT around, join (20 Lg. V Shells & 20 2 dc's).

Row 9: ch 3, 1 dc in each dc around, join.

Starting Decrease

Row 10: ch 3, 1 dc in 6, decrease over the next 2 sts, 1 dc in the next 7 sts, decrease over the next 2, *Repeat around, 1 dc in the last 2 sts, join.

Row 11: ch 3, 1 dc in 5, decrease over the next 2 sts, *1 dc in 6 sts, decrease over the next 2 sts, *Repeat around, join.

Row 12: ch 3, 1 dc in the next 4 sts, decrease over the next 2 sts, *1 dc in the next 5 sts, decrease over the next 2 sts, *Repeat around, join (80 sts).

Starting Single Crochet (SC)

Row 13: Repeat Row 12 only with sc instead of dc (69 sts).

Row 14: ch 3, 1 sc in the next 5 sts, decrease over the next 2 sts, *1 sc in the next 6 sts, decrease over the next 2 sts, *repeat 3 more times (5 total decreases in this row), 1 sc in each remaining st around. Join (64 sts).

Rows 15-18: ch 1, 1 sc in each st around, join (64 sts). Fasten off after Row 18 and tuck in tails.
