​Melange Crochet Beret

You’ll need:

50g of mélange Alpina Katrin yarn (100% cotton; 140m/50g);

Crochet hook 4.

Head circumference: 50-52 cm.

Instructions

Start your work with crown. Make 4 chain sts and circle them in the ring, then, work due to the scheme 1.

1^st row: 3 chain sts increase, 11 double crochets. Then, divide your work into 12 equal sectors in quantity of sts of the 1^st row.

2^nd row: 3 chain sts increase, double crochet in the same base, 1 double crochet, * 2 double crochets in 1 base st, 1 double crochet*; repeat from * to * x 11 times;

3^rd row: 3 chain sts increase, double crochet in the same base st, 1 double crochet, * 2 double crochets, 2 double crochets in 1 base st*; repeat from * to * x 11 times;

4^th row: 3 chain sts increase, 1 double crochet, 1 double crochet, 2 double crochets in 1 base st, * 2 double crochets, 2 double crochets in 1 base st*; repeat from * to * x 11 times;

5^th row: 3 chain sts increase, 2 double crochets in 1 base st, 3 double crochets, * 2 double crochets in 1 base st, 3 double crochets*; repeat from * to * x 11 times;

6^th row: 3 chain sts increase, 2 double crochets, 2 double crochets in 1 base st, 2 double crochets, * 2 double crochets, 2 double crochets in 1 base st, 2 double crochets*; repeat from * to * x 11 times.

Then, continue work in the same way, replace the increase for widening to 1 double crochet in relation to the previous row.

Crochet until the diameter of circle is 20 cm (11 rows), then, make 4 rows without increases. For narrowing, decrease 12 sts in 1 circle row for narrowing, starting from the next row. Totally, make 3 rows with decreases. Then, make 1 row of double crochets and 4 rows of single crochets without decreases. Fasten the beret around due to the scheme 2.
