How to Knit a Hat and Leg-Warmers with Luxury Tweed Chunky Yarn


You’ll Need:
300g of mélange pink yarn Luxury Tweed Chunky (85% wool, 15% angora; 100m/100g);
Straight knitting needles 6 and 8;
Double pointed and circular knitting needles 6;
Crochet hook 6 and 8.
Instructions
Hat
Make 60 chain sts with crochet hook 6 and circle it in the ring, make 6 cm of single crochets. Then, work with double crochets with crochet hook 8, increase 10 sts in the 1st circle row = 70 sts. In 15 cm from the set up row, skip every 2nd st of the previous row x 3 times. After that, tighten the rest 9 sts with working yarn and sew.
Leg-Warmers
Cast on 54 sts for upper edge with double-pointed knitting needles 6, circle them in the ring and work with circle rows in vertical pattern. In 10 cm from the set-up row, make purl2tog in every 2nd stripe of purls (= 5 decreases).
In 20 cm from the set-up row, make purl2tog in the rest stripes of purls (= 4 decreases). Repeat these decreases x once in 30 cm and 40 cm from the set-up row = 36 sts. At 50 cm height from the set-up row, bind off the sts due to the pattern.
