How to Knit Elegant Leg Warmers with Unique Yarn Combinations

You’ll Need:
4 skeins of Classic Elite Lush yarn (50% angora wool, 50% sheep wool; 114m/50g) in burgundy color (4434);
4 skeins of London Yarns Sinflex Lurex yarn (60% cotton, 40% lurex; 150m/20g) in pink color (111);
Knitting needles size 8 and 9;
Yarn needle.
Size:
Length – 70 cm;
Width (up) – 14 cm;
Width (down) – 11.5 cm.
Note:
Knit with 2 threads of yarn (1 thread of each type of yarn).
Stitches Control:
20 sts x 24 rows = 10 x 10 cm (stockinette stitch, knitting needles 9);
24 sts x 28 rows = 10 x 10 cm (1 x 1 rib, knitting needles 8).
Instructions:
Start your work with smaller size knitting needles, cast on 54 sts from the upper edge and work with 1 x 1 rib. Make this pattern in the following way:
Row Instructions:
1st row: *1 knit st, 1 purl*; repeat from * to * to the end of row;
2nd row: make knit sts and purls in a st due to the ornament, make knit st at the place of knit st, purl at the place of purl. Repeat 1st and 2nd rows. At the same time, make chamfers due to your leg size: decrease 1 st from both sides in every 10th row, make such decreases twice, continue work until there is 15 cm left of ready-made work, finish on WS.
Take knitting needles of larger size and turn to stockinette stitch (make 1 row from RS with knit sts and 1 row from WS with purls). Decrease 1 st in every 20th row, make such decreases 5 times, leaving 40 sts after all the decreases. Continue work until the length is 70 cm.
Bind off the rest of the sts.
Make the second leg warmer in the same way.
