​Set of Crochet Hat, Cowl and Fingerless Gloves

250 g of pink yarn Mia (80% alpaca wool, 20% polyacryl, 125m/50g);

Crochet hook 2, 4, 5;

3 buttons.

Shells ornament in circle rows: the quantity of sts is multipled 8. Crochet the same way as shells ornament in straight rows, but due to the scheme 2, make circle row transfer due to the scheme. Make once from 1st to 3rd circle rows, then repeat 2nd and 3rd circle rows.

Stitches control: main ornament, crochet hook 4: 20 sts and 15 rows = 10 x 10 cm; shells ornament, crochet hook 5: 20,5 sts and 9,5 circle rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Make a chain of 14 chain sts + 1 chain st increase with crochet hook 4 for the placket and crochet with the main ornament. At about 56 cm from the set-up edge connect the ends of the stripe. For upper part of your hat crochet one edge of the placket with 144 slip sts with crochet hook 5, circle in a ring 1 slip st and crochet in circle rows with shells ornament. In 12 circle rows from the beginning continue crochetting with crochet hook 4. In 4 circle rows from changing the hook, continue crochetting with crochet hook 2. In 6 circle rows from the second change of hook crochet with single crochets, but make 1 single crochet in each arch of chain sts = 36 sts. In the next circle row crochet 3 single crochets together and finish your work. Draw the working yarn through upper part of last circle row sts, tighten the sts and fasten the yarn.

Make a chain of 43 chain sts + 1 chain st increase with crochet hook 4 and crochet with the main ornament. In 9 cm from the set-up edge crochet with crochet hook 5 with shells ornament with straight rows. In 70 cm from the beginning of shells ornament continue working with hook 4 and main ornament. In 9 cm from ornament change make 3 holes for buttons in wrong side row, to make it, slip 2-3 single crochets (depending on the size of your buttons), making the needed quantity of chain sts. Then make 1 more "shrimp stitch" row (=single crochets from left to right) and finish your work. Crochet the set-up edge with 1 row of "shrimp stitch". Sew the buttons.

Right glove: make a chain of 18 chain sts + 1 chain st increase with crochet hook 4 and crochet with the main ornament. In 20 cm from the set-up row connect the ends. Crochet one edge with crochet hook 5, making 40 slip sts, cirlce in a ring with 1 slip st and continue crochetting with shells ornament in circle rows. For thumb opening, slip last pattern before transfer of the circle row, making 8 chain sts in 5 circle rows from fastening. Crochet these sts in the next circle row with 8 double crochets and include them in the shells ornament again. In 12 circle rows from fastening finish your work. Fasten the opening for thumb with 16 single crochets, circle the row in a ring with 1 slip st and then crochet with single crochets in circle rows. In 4 circle rows crochet with hook 4 and in 7 circle rows finish your work.
