How to Crochet a Shawl, Mittens, and Hat with Violet Novena Yarn

You’ll Need:
450g of violet Novena yarn (50% merino wool, 30% alpaca wool, 20% polyamide; 110m/25g).
Crochet hook 2 and 3.
Size of Shawl: 50 x 166 cm.
Used Patterns
Weaver’s pattern: The quantity of stitches is multiple of 20 + 1 + 3 chain stitches increase. Work according to the scheme. Start with stitches before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, and finish with stitches after pattern repeat.
Stitches Control: Using crochet hook 3: 24 stitches x 11.5 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Instructions
Shawl
Make 121 chain stitches + 3 chain stitches with crochet hook 3 and work using the weaver's pattern. In 83 cm from the set-up row, finish with the 11th row of the pattern. Fasten the set-up row with the weaver's pattern; the initial chain of the 1st part replaces the set-up row. Finish your work at 83 cm with the 11th row of the pattern. Fasten the long edges with 1 row of “shrimp stitch.”
Mittens
Right Mitten
Make 61 chain stitches + 3 chain stitches for increase with crochet hook 3 and work using the weaver's pattern. In 11.5 cm from the set-up row, leave 2 central groups of double crochets from the 1st weaver + ½ weaver from both sides. Replace 2 single crochets above the central 2 groups of double crochets with 1 chain stitch in the next row. Work according to the scheme. Finish your work after 20 cm = 23 rows from the set-up row. Fasten the set-up row with 5 rows of the weaver's pattern.
Left Mitten
Make in symmetry to the right mitten.
Assembly
Sew the long sides, leaving the bottom 4.5 cm open for cuts. Fasten the edges of cuts, bottom and upper edges, and hole for the thumb with 1 row of “shrimp stitch.”
Hat
Make 141 chain stitches + 1 chain stitch for increase and work with single crochets, inserting the crochet hook through the back loops of the chain. In 4 cm from the set-up row, work with the weaver's pattern. In 22 cm from the set-up row, switch to a smaller hook and work with double crochets for 6 rows. Make 2 double crochets together in every row. When the hat is nearly bound off, tighten the remaining stitches with working yarn and fasten. Sew the long sides.
