Instructions
Back
Cast on 114; 122; 130 stitches and work with Pattern A. After 40 cm (about 110 rows) from the beginning of work, bind off 8 stitches from each side for arm-holes. In 59; 60.5; 62 cm from the edge of work, bind off 7; 8; 9 stitches in every 2nd row for chamfers from both sides. After 61.5; 63; 64.5 cm from the edge of work, bind off the stitches.
Front
Make the front part in the same way as the back, but with a deeper neck-hole. For this, bind off the central 12 stitches in 55.5; 57; 58.5 cm and finish each part separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 4.5 x 2 and 1 x 1 stitches in every 2nd row and bind off the stitches, matching with back.
Sleeves
Cast on 58; 62; 66 stitches and work with Pattern B. Increase 1 stitch x 13 in every 8th row and 1 stitch x 3 in every 6th row, 1 stitch x 1 in the following 8th row, 1 stitch x 1 in the 6th row. After 49 cm (32 rows) from the edge of work, bind off all the stitches.
Hood
Start making the hood from the left half. For this, cast on 18 stitches and work with cable pattern A. Increase 4 and 6 stitches and 4 x 7 stitches in every 2nd row from the set-up edge for side chamfers and include these stitches in the ornament. After 21.5 cm from the edge, bind off 1 stitch from the right side and 4 x 1, 4 x 2, 1 x 3, 1 x 4 in every 2nd row. Make the right part symmetrically to the left and connect the left stitches with Kitchener’s stitch and connect the back seam.
Assembly
Sew shoulders, sew the hood to the neck-hole. Make sleeves, side, and shoulder seams.
