​Jumper with Hood

You’ll need:

600-700g of Merino Air yarn (100% Merino, 30m/50g);

Knitting needles 4,5.

Size: S; M; L.

Used Patterns

Rib: the quantity of sts is multipled 4 + 2 selvedge sts. Right-side rows – 1 purl + 2 knit sts + 1 purl. Wrong-side rows – due to the ornament. Repeat the pattern between selvedge sts.

Cable pattern A: the quantity of sts is multipled 4 + 2 selvedge sts. Work due to the scheme 1. Repeat 1^st-4^th rows, 5^th-6^th rows and finish.

Cable pattern (B) - the quantity of sts is multipled 8 + 2 selvedge sts. Work due to the scheme 2. Make 1^st-14^th rows once, then repeat 5^th-14^th rows.

Honeycomb: the quantity of sts is multipled 4 + 2 selvedge sts. Work due to the scheme 3. Repeat 1^st-4^th rows.

Pattern A: 28 rows of rib, 34 rows of cable pattern A, 74 rows of cable pattern B, 30; 34; 38 rows of honeycomb pattern. Totally, 166; 170;174 rows.

Pattern B: 68 rows of rib, 42 rows of cable pattern A, 22 rows of honeycomb pattern. Totally, 132 rows.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 114; 122; 130 sts and work with pattern A. After 40, cm (about 110 rows) from the beginning of work, bind off 8 sts from each side for arm-holes. In 59; 60,5; 62 cm from the edge of work, bind off 7; 8; 9 sts in every 2^nd row for chamfers from both sides. After 61,5; 63; 64,5 cm from the edge of work, bind off the sts.

Front

Make the front part in the same way, as back, but with deeper neck-hole. For this, bind off the central 12 sts in 55,5; 57; 58,5 cm and finish each part separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 х 4,5 х 2 и 1 х 1 sts in every 2^nd row and bind off the sts, matching with back.

Sleeves

Cast on 58; 62; 66 sts and work with pattern B. Increase 1 st x 13 in every 8^th row and 1 st x 3 in every 6^th row, 1 st x 1 in the following 8^th row, 1 st x 1 in the 6^th row. After 49 cm (32 rows) from the edge of work, bind off all the sts.

Hood

Sart making hood from lef half. For this, cast on 18 sts and work with cable pattern A. Increase 4 6 sts and 4 x 7 sts in every 2^nd row from the set-up edge for side chamfers and include these sts in the ornament. After 21,5 cm from edge, bind off 1 st from the right side and 4х1, 4х2, 1х3, 1х4 in every 2^nd row. Make the right part in symmetry to the left and connect the left sts with kitchener’s stitch and connect the back seam.

Assembly

Sew shoulders, sew the hood to the neck-hole. Make sleeves, side and shoulder seams.
