How to Crochet a Baby Outfit for 3-6 Months

You’ll Need:

60g of thin 100% acryl yarn in brown color;

30g of the same yarn, but in green, white, red-brick, ochre colors (each);

Crochet hook 2.5;

5 buttons.

Size:

3-6 months.

Stitches Control:

21 sts of pattern = 10 cm;

25 sts of rib = 10 cm.

Instructions

Back and Front

Make as one-piece cloth.

Make 113 chain sts and work according to scheme 1, alternating the colors of yarn every 2 rows in the following way: brown, red-brick, ochre, green, white. At 17 cm height, divide your work as follows: 27 sts of left part of back, 4 sts of arm-hole, 51 sts of front, 4 sts of arm-hole, 27 sts of right part of back. Continue work on 27 sts of left part of back. At 27 cm height, after getting 25 sts for shoulder and 12 sts for neck-hole, finish your work. Make right part of back in symmetry to the left. Turn to work on 51 sts of front, in 6 cm from the beginning of arm-holes, bind off the central 21 sts and continue work on 15 sts for each shoulder separately. At 27 cm height, finish your work.

Sleeves

Make 33 chain sts with brown yarn and work according to scheme 1, alternating the colors of yarn in the same way as for back. Increase 5 x 1 st in every 3rd row from both sides = 43 sts. At 18 cm height, finish your work.

Assembly

Make all the seams and sew up the sleeves in the arm-hole. Fasten neck-hole, edges of back, lower edges, including sleeves with 1 row of single crochets and 1 row of “shrimp stitch” with red-brick yarn. Sew buttons to the left part of back.
