You’ll need:

2 skeins of Schachеnmayr original Northеrn yarn (100% acryl; 210m/100g);

Straight or circle knitting needles 5 mm.

Neck circumference: 53 cm.

Height of the hood: 33 cm.

Stitches control:

2 x 2 rib: 18 sts x 26 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Stockinette stitch: 16 sts x 26 rows = 10 x 10 cm.


Instructions

Hood

Cast on 108 sts and make 3 cm with 2 x 2 rib, start with WS row in the following way: 1 selvedge st, 2 purls, * 2 knit sts, 2 purls*; repeat from * to * to the last st, 1 selvedge st. Conitnue work with stockinette stitch to 22,5 cm height from the set-up row and knit the first 54 sts of the next row and turn your work, leaving the rest sts out of work, knit in the reversed order to the end of row. Bind off in the beginning of each WS row: 1 st x 4, 2 sts x 3, 3 sts x 2, then, 4 sts x 1 = 34 sts. In 30 cm from the set-up edge, bind off the sts.

Make the second part of hood in the symmetry, bind off the sts in every RS row.


Collar

Cast on 96 sts and circle your work, place marker in the beginning of row and work with 2 x 2 rib for 20 cm, bind off the sts due to the ornament.


Assembly

Sew the upper part of hood to the lower edge of collar.
