For the border of the dress, you need to make a chain with the same length as your girl’s chest circumference plus 2 cm for comfort fit. Circle the chain and continue work according to Scheme 1. The length of the border is adjusted based on your child’s height.

The flare is achieved by evenly increasing the number of crochets (6 crochets, then 7 crochets, then 8 crochets) in the “shells” according to the scheme.

Make the yoke from the upper edge of your border following the pattern design. In the 1^st row, make all single crochets. In the 2^nd row, create holes according to Scheme 2.

In the 3^rd row, continue with single crochets. After this, divide your work into front and back parts and crochet them separately. Make decreases in every row as per the pattern design. After crocheting 10 cm, bind off the stitches of the front and back.
