Materials Needed

What you need:

• An easy wearing yarn, I recommend cotton or a bamboo blend.
• I used around 1000 yards for a US 10/12 sized dress.
• Any sized hook for your yarn; I used an I (5.5 mm) hook.
• Scissors.
• Yarn needle.

Step One: The Bra Top

Leave a tail of yarn a foot long. Chain a chain long enough to go from the top of your breast to your bra band. I used a chain of 25.

sc along chain, *chain 1, turn, sc repeat from * till band is long enough to go around you (like a tube top, should fit snugly).

Sew up band with the beginning tail of yarn. DO NOT break the yarn that you worked from.

Step Two: The Skirt

(sl st to finish rows)

Chain 1, sc along bottom of band (work 2 rows).

Chain 4, *skip one st, dc, chain 1 repeat from * around (work 4 rows).

Have an extra stitch? Don't worry, add an extra chain and skip one at end of row.

Chain 3, dc in each dc and chain space around.

Chain 3, dc around.

Chain 3, *dc 6, 2 dc in one stitch, repeat from * around.

Did your row not come up in even stitches? Just dc to end of row after last complete increase.

Chain 3, dc around (2 rows).

Chain 4, *skip one st, dc, chain 1 repeat from *around (work 2 rows).

Chain 3, dc in each dc and chain space around.

Chain 3, *dc 6, 2 dc in one stitch, repeat from * around.

Chain 3, dc around.

Chain 4, *skip one st, dc, chain 1 repeat from * around.

Chain 3, dc in each dc and chain space around.

Chain 3, *dc 6, 2 dc in one stitch, repeat from * around.

Chain 3, dc around.

Chain 4, *skip one st, dc, chain 1 repeat from * around (work 2 rows).

Chain 3, dc in each dc and chain space around.

Chain 3, *dc 6, 2 dc in one stitch, repeat from * around.

Step Three: Drawstring Top

Starting at center back, sc along top portion of bra band.

Chain 4, *skip one st, dc, chain 1 repeat from * around.

Chain 1, sc in each dc and chain space around.

Break yarn and weave in ends.

Drawstring

Chain a big long chain, make sure it is long enough to go around the top of your chest and has enough length to tie. Finish ends with overhand knots.

Weave drawstring through your fillet row.

Wear over a bikini/swimwear or a flesh-colored bodysuit. However you wear it, have fun and stay cool this summer.
