Easy Crochet Top Pattern for Kids

You’ll Need:

50g of light-blue CoCo yarn (100% cotton; 240m/50g);

10g of the same yarn, but in white color;

Crochet hook 2.

Size:

8-9 years.

Instructions

Make a chain of the same length as chest circumference + 3 cm for loose fitting. Circle your chain in the ring and work with relief pattern following scheme 1. In 21 rows, switch to white yarn and make 3 rows, then 3 light-blue rows, and finally 3 white rows. Cut and fasten the yarn. After that, turn to the beginning of the work, make 1 row of single crochets. Then, continue working according to scheme 2, with 1 light-blue row, 1 white row, and 1 light-blue row. After that, crochet only the yoke for 6 light-blue rows, decreasing 1 pattern repeat in every row from both sides.

Assembly

Fasten the upper edge of the top with 1 row of single crochets and 1 row of “picots”. Make 4 cords and sew them on as straps.
