How to Crochet Stylish Shorts Using Cotton Yarn

You’ll Need:

1-1.5 skeins of 100% cotton beige yarn (400m/100g);

0.5 skein of light-green 100% mercerized cotton yarn (240m/50g);

Crochet hook 2.

Instructions

Left Pant

Make 104 chain stitches and work with the pattern according to the scheme on 34 pattern repeats.

After making 5 rows for the central seams, leave (0.5 of pattern repeat) x 8 times unfinished in every row from the right side, 2.5 pattern repeats x once in every row from the left side, 0.5 of pattern repeat x 5 times, then, 0.5 of pattern repeat in every 5^th row. After making 29 rows from the beginning of seams, make a row with alternation of double crochets and chain stitches, then, make 1 more row of “shrimp stitch” and finish your work.

Right Pant

Make in symmetry to the left pant.

Assembly

Sew your shorts along the crotch and central seams. Make a rib along the bottom part of your shorts, changing the color of yarn: 3 rows with beige yarn, 1 row with light-green yarn, 1 row with beige yarn, and 1 row with light-green yarn.

Make a cord from beige yarn (about 90 cm long) and insert it along the row where you alternate double crochets with chain stitches.
