​Crochet Beach Shorts for Baby Boy

You’ll need:

1-1,5 skeins of 100% cotton beige yarn (400m/100g);

0,5 skein of light-green 100% mercerized cotton yarn (240m/50g);

Crochet hook 2.

Instructions

Left Pant

Make 104 chain sts and work with the pattern due to the scheme on 34 pattern repeats.

After making 5 rows for the central seams, leave (0,5 of pattern repeat) x 8 times unfinished in every row from the right side, 2,5 pattern repeats x once in every row from the left side, 0,5 of pattern repeat x 5 times, then, 0,5 of pattern repeat in every 5^th row. After making 29 rows from the beginning of seams, make a row with alternation of double crochets and chain sts, then, make 1 more row of “shrimp stitch” and finish your work.

Right Pant

Make in symmetry to the left pant.

Assembly

Sew your shorts along crotch and central seams. Make rib along the bottom part of your shorts, changing the color of yarn: 3 rows with beige yarn, 1 row with light-green yarn, 1 row with beige yarn, 1 row with light-green yarn.

Make cord from beige yarn (about 90 cm long) and insert it along the row, where you alternate double crochets with chain sts.
