Crocheting a little boy's vest is such a fun and rewarding project! From choosing the softest yarn to the delightful colors, every step is filled with creativity and care. The joy of crafting something special and unique for a little one to wear is truly heartwarming. Whether you're a crochet enthusiast or a beginner eager to dive into this project, the process is sure to bring smiles and warmth to your heart. So grab your hooks and yarn, and let's create a charming vest that will be treasured for years to come!

Materials

  • 5mm crochet hook
  • Worsted weight yarn: green and white colors (about 100 gr for the sample)
  • Buttons
  • Yarn needle
  • Scissors

Techniques

Note: I used chainless starting double crochet/triple crochet for every first double crochet of each row instead of chain 3/chain 4. Another good crochet technique to use is chain 2/chain 3 then double crochet/triple crochet into the same stitch (counted as 1st double crochet/triple crochet). In the pattern below, you’ll see I simply state double crochet/triple crochet into the 1st stitch for every first double crochet/triple crochet of each row, so just choose your best technique.

This crochet little boy’s vest pattern fits a size of 6 to 12 months old baby boy (chest size: 18 to 20 inches).
