How to Crochet a Baby Outfit for 8-12 Months


You’ll Need:
2 skeins of yarn (66% cotton, 34% viscose; 334m/100g) of light-green color;
1 skein of the same yarn, but white color;
Crochet hook 2.5;
3 decorative flowers.
Size:
8-12 months.
Used Patterns:
Relief pattern: based on scheme 1. The quantity of stitches is multiplied by 6 + 1 chain stitch + 1 chain stitch increase.
Instructions:
Make the bottom part of the front detail separately.
Make 55 chain stitches with light-green yarn and work with the relief pattern to a height of 12 cm; after that, finish the work. Fasten the bottom and side parts with fringe following scheme 2 using white yarn. Afterward, begin making the bottom part of the back and the sides of the front detail as one-piece cloth using light-green yarn.
Make 110 chain stitches and work with the relief pattern for 12 cm. Fasten the edges of the sides with fringe according to scheme 2 with white yarn.
Then, create all the details as one-piece cloth around with the relief pattern to a height of 28 cm. After that, make 2 rows of single crochets, making decreases in the first row – crochet into a chain stitch.
Fold your work in half and step back 2 cm from the front side edge. Make 7 single crochets using light-green yarn for the strap. Then, crochet single crochets on these 7 stitches to a height of 20 cm and create the second strap in the same way. Sew the loose ends of the straps to the back.
Fasten the neck-hole with 2 rows according to scheme 3 using white yarn. Fasten the outer edges of the straps with white yarn, creating wings – work according to scheme 3, but leave 4 chain stitches unfinished at the end of each row. In total, make 4 rows.
5th row: 1 single crochet above every arch of 4 chain stitches;
6th row: “shrimp stitch”.
Sew the decorative flowers above the cuts.
