Instructions

Cast on 44 stitches and divide them onto three knitting needles. Place a marker, connect the row and knit around.

Relief Edge

Work 8 rows of knit stitches.

Next row: * yarn over, knit 2 together*; repeat from * to * around, followed by 8 rows of knit stitches.

Next row (increases): * 2 knit stitches, yarn over*; repeat from * to * around, resulting in 66 knit stitches.

The beginning of the work is based on the scheme: there are 22 stitches on each needle, repeat the pattern over 22 stitches three times. Follow the scheme up to the 48^th row = 60 stitches. Repeat the 25^th and 26^th rows one more time.

Thumb

Next row: 1 stitch, (2 purls, 2 knit stitches) x 3 times, slip 10 stitches onto an auxiliary needle, then continue working with the 27^th row of the scheme to the end of the row.

Next row: 1 knit stitch, 2 purls, cast on 10 stitches, and work according to the pattern until the end of the row. Continue following the scheme to the 41^st row.

Work 8 rows of knit stitches.

Next row: * yarn over, knit 2 together*; repeat from * to *, followed by 8 rows of knit stitches. Sew the cuff in half and attach the open stitches to the beginning of the cuff from the wrong side using a tapestry needle. Cut the yarn.

From the auxiliary needle, knit 10 stitches, cast on 14 stitches, creating a knit section around the hole for the thumb, resulting in 24 stitches. Divide these stitches onto three knitting needles and work 8 rows of knit stitches.

Next row: * yarn over, knit 2 together*; repeat from * to *, followed by 8 rows of knit stitches. Sew the cuff in half and attach the open stitches to the beginning of the cuff from the wrong side with a tapestry needle. Cut the yarn and weave in the ends.
