- Relief pattern: according to the scheme.
Stitches Control
20 stitches x 31 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Instructions
Start making stockings from the upper part.
Cast on 64 stitches and turn to circle knitting, placing the stitches on 4 knitting needles (16 stitches on each needle). Make 4 cm of rib and turn to the relief pattern.
After knitting 33 cm, start making the heel. Make the heel in the same way as for ordinary socks. Work with half the stitches (32 stitches), i.e., on 2 knitting needles. Make 20 rows of stockinette stitch with straight and reversed rows.
For the heel rounding, divide the stitches (32 stitches) into 3 parts: 11 stitches + 10 stitches + 11 stitches = 32 stitches. Continue making only on the central 10 stitches, catching 1 stitch in every row from each side.
Knit these stitches together with the edging stitches of the central part in 1 stitch. As a result, only 10 central stitches are left.
Lift 10 selvedge stitches from each side of the heel. Include the previously left stitches in work and turn to circle knitting. Make the bottom part of your stockings with stockinette stitch and the upper part with the relief pattern.
After knitting to the height of the baby toe (it’s advisable to make a fitting), make decreases for the toe: knit two together the edging stitches on the knitting needles from both sides.
Knit two together at the beginning of this row, making a broaching at the end: slip 1 stitch as a knit stitch, knit 1 stitch, draw it through the slipped stitch. Decrease 4 stitches in the row this way.
When there are 2 stitches left on each knitting needle, cut the yarn, pull it through the left stitches, tighten, and take out to the wrong side, fastening off.
Beautiful socks, name doesn't do them justice
