How to Create a Stylish Cotton Yarn Bra and Top

You’ll Need:

4 skeins of 100% cotton yarn (150m/50g);

Crochet hook 3.

Used Patterns

Flowers pattern: the quantity of sts is multiplied by 19 + 18 (5) + 3 chain sts increase), work according to the scheme.

Gauge

24.5 sts х 10.5 rows = 10 х 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Make 94 (100) chain sts + 3 chain sts increase, work with flowers pattern.

In 17 cm from the set-up row, increase 1 double crochet from both sides = 96 (102) sts.

In 27 (28) cm from the set-up row, finish your work.

Front

Make in the same way as back, but add the bra part. Make the pattern design in natural size and make decreases for the bra in 20 cm from the set-up row, matching with pattern design.

Bra

Make 2.

6 chain sts, slip st. Work according to the scheme 2 with straight and reversed rows. Replace the 1^st double crochet or half crochet of every row with 3 or 2 chain sts increase.

Repeat 1^st-4^th rows once, alternate 3^rd and 4^th rows, continue making increases in the center. In 18 (19) rows from the set-up row, finish your work.

Assembly

Sew both parts of the bra, then make side seams. Fasten the bottom part with 1 circular row of single crochets and “shell” pattern (1 chain st increase, * 2 chain sts, skip 4 sts, 1 half crochet in the next st, 1 double crochet, 1 treble crochet, 1 double crochet, 1 half crochet*).

Fasten the upper part with 1 circular row of “shell” pattern. For straps, attach the yarn to the upper part of the bra to make 2 chains 35 cm long and fasten them with 1 row of half-crochets. Sew them to the back.
