Materials Needed
You'll need:
- 50g of yarn (50% wool, 50% acrylic; 95m/25g);
- Knitting needles size 3.
Size Specification
Size: 18-24 months
Used Patterns
- 1 x 1 rib;
- Stockinette stitch: in circle rows - all knit stitches;
- "Picot": knit 2 together, 1 yarn over by turn;
- Relief rhombs pattern: follow the scheme with even rows made of knit stitches. Pattern = 16 rows in height.
Stitches Control
Stitches control of stockinette stitch: 30 stitches x 40 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm.
Instructions
Start making relief socks with the edge. Cast on 42 stitches, allocate them on knitting needles in the following way: 10, 11, 10, 11 stitches.
Knitting Process
- 1st and 2nd rows: stockinette stitch;
- 3rd row: "picot";
- 4th and 5th rows: stockinette stitch;
- From the 6th row: 1 x 1 rib.
Knit 3 cm in the last row on 11 stitches and decrease 1 stitch. Total, you should have 40 stitches.
Then, turn to the relief rhombs pattern. Knit 8 cm of the pattern, then turn to stockinette stitch. Continue using the classic scheme for sock knitting. After knitting 6 cm for the heel, start making the descent for the toe part.
