How to Knit Star Motif Mittens


You’ll Need:
75g of woolen worsted weight yarn (180m/50g);
Double-pointed knitting needles 3.5 mm and 5 mm;
Tapestry needle.
Measurements
Arm circumference: 25 cm;
Wrist circumference: 18.5 cm;
Length: 45 cm.
Stitches Control
Stockinette stitch, knitting needles 3.5 mm: 24 sts x 34 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Instructions
Each mitten consists of two motifs: 1 small star and 1 big star.
Make motifs according to the scheme with circle rows. Repeat every circle row according to the scheme x 5 times.
Mark the 1st st of the 1st row.
Small Star
Cast on 5 sts, circle them and place marker.
Scheme 1:
Work according to the scheme 1, using the 1st set-up row of 5 sts, repeat the pattern around x 5 times. When the last 21st row is finished, bind off all the sts.
Big Star
Scheme 2:
Make in the same way as scheme 1, using the 1st set-up row of 5 sts, work according to scheme 2, repeat the pattern around x 5 times. When the last 25th row is finished, bind off all the sts.
Finishing
Sew the big and small star with the help of a tapestry needle, as it’s shown on the scheme in the places with red arrows.
Fold the details in half to get mittens.
