this pattern is very confusing!.  The 1st row says 2 chain stitches, 11 DC. You've already made 11 DC. What does 2 chain stitches mean???

You should start with 2 chain sts

Have you made this orange scarf. it says chain 25 plus one. Is that where you start and what does the plus one mean? Can you rewrite the directions out for me so I can understand them? My email is ncbound100@gmail.com.  I really want to make this but I don't understand the directions and I am not a beginner!

I want to make the orange scarf but the directions don't make sense. Can you please simplify.  Start with how many to chain.
