Cable (20 sts wide):
- 1st and 3rd rows: 1 purl, 8 knit sts, 2 purls, 8 knit sts, 1 purl;
- 2nd and all WS rows: follow the pattern;
- 5th row: 1 purl, cross 8 sts to the right (leave 4 sts on the auxiliary needle behind work, 4 knit sts, 4 knit sts from the auxiliary needle), 2 purls, cross 8 sts to the left (leave 4 sts on the auxiliary needle in front of work, 4 knit sts, 4 knit sts from the auxiliary needle), 1 purl.
Relief pattern: follow the scheme.
Stitches Control
18 sts x 26 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Instructions
Back
Cast on 78 sts and make 3 cm of ribbing. Then, work with stockinette stitch. In 7 cm from the set-up row, bind off 3 x 1 st in every 6th row for better fitting. In 22 cm from the set-up row, increase 2 x 1 st in every 12th row. In 36 cm from the set-up row, bind off 2 sts from both sides for raglan and 11 x 1 st in every 2nd row. In 44 cm from the set-up row, bind off the remaining sts.
Front
Cast on 78 sts and make 3 cm of ribbing. Then, divide the sts in the following way: 29 sts of stockinette stitch, 20 sts of cable, 29 sts of stockinette stitch. Improve fitting from both sides in the same way as for the back. In 28 cm from the set-up row, increase 1 st and work with the relief pattern. Make raglan chamfers from both sides in the same way as for the back. Bind off the remaining sts at the height of the back.
Sleeves
Cast on 50 sts and make 3 cm of ribbing. Then, work with stockinette stitch. Bind off 2 sts for raglan chamfers from both sides and 5 x 1 st in every 4th row. In 11 cm from the set-up row, bind off the remaining sts.
Assembly
Make raglan seams; cast on 170 sts along the neck-hole, make 4 cm of ribbing and bind off the sts. Finally, make side and sleeve seams.
