How to Knit a Stylish Cotton Bra



You’ll Need:
300 (300) 350g of orange Essentials Cotton yarn (100% cotton; 130m/50g);
Knitting needles 3 and 3.5;
Crochet hook 3.5;
Thin shirr.
Size:
S (M) L.
Used Patterns:
Stockinette Stitch:
In RS row – knit sts, in WS row – purls;
Relief Pattern 1:
Due to Scheme 1, on which only RS rows are stated, make WS rows and yarn overs as purls.
Relief Pattern 2:
Make in the same way as Relief Pattern 1, but due to Scheme 2. Make 1st-10th rows once.
Stitches Control:
22 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Instructions:
Bottom of Front and Back:
Cast on 87 (99) 111 sts with knitting needles 3.5 and work with Relief Pattern 1. In 40 cm from the set-up row, bind off all the sts together with shirr.
Right Bra:
Cast on 51 sts with knitting needles 3 (3.5) 3.5 and make 10 rows with Relief Pattern 2. Then, work with stockinette stitch. In 8 (11) 13.5 cm from the set-up row, bind off 25 sts from the right side. Knit 11.5 cm on the rest sts and bind off the sts.
Left Bra:
Make in symmetry to the right bra.
Assembly:
Make bra gores and sew bra with the long side to the front, starting with the middle of the front, make side seams. Fasten the sides of the bra and upper edge of the back with 1 row of single crochets using the crochet hook. Make 34 cm chains for straps. Make 1 row of single crochets and 1 row of “shrimp stitch” on all the sts. Sew the straps to the back.
