Rib Pattern

Knit 2 x 2 rib: 1st row - 2 knit stitches, rotate with 2 purls;

2nd and all the even rows are knitted according to the ornament (knit stitches above knit stitches, purls above purls);

3rd row: 2 purls, 2 knit stitches (run right-hand needle from right to left into the second knit stitch and pull the yarn into your working side in about 1 cm, knit the first stitch as knit, then drop both stitches from left-hand needle). Repeat 3rd and 4th rows.

Relief Ornament of Knit Vest

The quantity of stitches is multiplied by 4 + 2 selvedge stitches:

1st row: 2 knit stitches, 2 purls;

2nd and all the even rows: knit according to the ornament (knit stitches above knit stitches, purls above purls);

3rd row: from the right side of the vest, pull working yarn towards yourselves between 6th and 7th stitches with right-hand needle, knit it with the 1st knit stitch and drop from the left-hand needle. Knit 1 knit stitch, 2 purls inside the clasp, after clasp - 2 purls, repeat to end of row;

4th and 6th rows: knit according to the ornament;

7th row: 2 knit stitches, 2 purls, clasp, and knit 6 stitches as in the 3rd row;

8th and 10th rows: knit according to the ornament (knit stitches above knit stitches, purls above purls);

11th row: repeat the ornament from the 3rd row.

Stitches Control

Rib with drawn stitch: 22 rows, 20 stitches = 10 x 10 cm.

Relief ornament: 23 rows, 22 stitches = 10 x 10 cm.

2 x 2 rib: 21 rows, 20 stitches = 10 x 10 cm.

Back Section

Cast on 68 stitches, knit 26 rows with rib with drawn stitch (about 11.5 cm), then continue working with relief ornament. As the previous ornament starts with 2 purls, relief ornaments also start with 2 purls, then make a clasp stitch and then continue according to the ornament. In 14 rows (about 7 cm) of the ornament, start making decreases of 1 stitch at the end of every row. Knit 20 rows with decreases (about 8.5 cm), leaving 48 stitches remaining. Knit 46 rows to the neck hole line, then bind off 24 stitches for the neck hole, 12 stitches for each shoulder. Bind off the stitches for the neck hole (12 stitches from left side and 12 stitches from right side) in 3 parts (7 + 3 + 2). Bind off 47 stitches for the shoulder from the left side and 48 stitches from the right side.

Front Section

The front part is made in the same way as the back but with a more deep cut for the neck hole. Bind off 37 rows and the main 8 stitches and knit separately, decreasing 8 more stitches from the center (3 + 2 + 3*1). Bind off shoulder stitches in the 47th and 48th rows.

"Wings" Section

Cast on 90 stitches and knit with rib with drawn stitches, decreasing 1 stitch at the end of every row, making 22 rows. In the 23rd and 24th rows, decrease 2 stitches in each, in the 25th and 26th rows - decrease 3 stitches in each, leaving 60 stitches remaining. Bind off all the stitches.

Collar

Cast on 90 stitches and knit 25 rows of rib (about 12 cm). Bind off stitches, without tightening them.

Assembly

Make side and shoulder seams, sew "wings" and attach the collar to the neck hole.
