You’ll Need:

3.5 skeins of orange yarn (50% cotton, 50% viscose; 375m/75g);

A little bit of the same yarn, but in a lighter color;

Crochet hook 2.

Size:

5-6 years.

Note:

Work from up to down.

Instructions

Make 50 chain stitches for the front part and work with the pattern according to the scheme. Repeat the 2nd and 3rd rows 14 times, making increases of ½ “shell” from both sides in every row.

At the same time, make 70 chain stitches in the 13th row for the back and continue work with the pattern around.

Row Details:

15-23rd rows: work according to the scheme 4th-5th rows;

24-31 rows: work according to the scheme 6th-7th rows, making the last 2 rows as the 9th and 10th rows of the scheme.

Assembly

Make 4 cords of 30 chain stitches and 2 cords of 60 chain stitches for straps. Fasten each cord with 1 row of double crochets.

Attach the long cords to the front part of the tunic and sew 2 cords of 30 chain stitches to the ends of straps. Fasten the upper inner part of the strap with 1 row of shrimp stitch using the lighter yarn.

Make “shells” along the outer side of the straps: 1 single crochet, (1 double crochet, 1 treble crochet, 1 double crochet) in 1 stitch, 1 single crochet.

Fasten the “shells”, straps, neck-hole, and bottom of the skirt with 1 row of picot.

Make a cord of 150 chain stitches, insert it as a belt for your tunic, and decorate the ends with wooden beads.
