Crochet Dress Pattern for Toddlers: Step-by-Step Instructions

You’ll Need:

100g of yarn (60% acrylic, 25% wool, 15% mohair) in grey color;

25g of the same yarn, but in pink color;

Crochet hook 3.

Size:

2-3 years.

Used Patterns

Crochet: chain sts, 67 double crochets;

Square motifs (make 14): make 8 chain sts with pink yarn in a ring with the help of slip stitch.

1^st row: 1 chain stitch increase, 15 single crochets, slip stitch;

2^nd row: 3 chain stitches increase, 2 unfinished double crochets in the first chain stitch increase together with the last chain stitch increase, 5 chain stitches, * 3 unfinished double crochets in the 2^nd single crochet from the crochet hook of the previous row together, 5 chain stitches*; repeat from * to * a total of 8 times, slip stitch.

Cut the yarn.

3^rd row: join grey yarn and work according to the scheme of the row. Cut the yarn.

Instructions

Upper Part

Front

Make 20 chain stitches with grey yarn (17 base chain stitches + 3 chain stitches increase).

1^st row: 1 double crochet in the 6^th chain stitch from the crochet hook, chain stitch, 1 double crochet in the same base chain stitch, * 2 double crochets in the 2^nd chain stitch from the crochet hook, 1 chain stitch between double crochets*; repeat from * to * a total of 6 times. Finish the row with double crochet;

2^nd-11^th rows: 3 chain stitches increase, * 2 double crochets in chain stitch of the previous row, 1 chain stitch between double crochets*; repeat from * to * a total of 6 times. Finish the row with double crochet;

12^th row: 6 chain stitches (1 chain stitch increase + 5 chain stitches), 1 single crochet between double crochets of the previous row, arch of 5 chain stitches between single crochets;

13^th row: 1 chain stitch, 2 single crochets in the arch of 5 chain stitches of the previous row, 1 picot, 2 single crochets in the same arch, * 1 single crochet in single crochet of the previous row, 2 single crochets in the arch of 5 chain stitches of the previous row, 1 picot, 2 single crochets in the same arch*; repeat from * to * a total of 5 times. Finish the row with single crochet.

Back

Make in the same way as the front.

Skirt

Make 100 chain stitches with grey yarn and circle them into a ring with the help of slip stitch.

1^st row: 3 chain stitches increase, 1 double crochet in the 5^th chain stitch from the crochet hook, 3 double crochets in the next 3 chain stitches, 1 chain stitch, 3 double crochets in the same chain stitch, * 1 double crochet in the 3^rd chain stitch from the crochet hook, double crochet in the next 3 chain stitches, 3 double crochets in the 3^rd chain stitch from the crochet hook, 1 chain stitch, 3 double crochets in the same chain stitch*; repeat from * to * a total of 10 times. Finish the row with slip stitch. Then, continue working according to the skirt scheme to the 21^st row, including increase 1 double crochet in gussets of double crochets every 3 rows.

Assembly

Strap: connect 7 square motifs between one another in the last row. Fasten the straps from both sides with 1 row of single crochets. Join front and back with the help of slip stitch. Join new yarn to the upper edge of the skirt and make 1 row: * 1 double crochet in the 4^th chain stitch increase, 3 chain stitches*, join the upper part of the dress. Make a cord of pink yarn and insert it along the waistline. Decorate the ends of the cord with small tassels.
