You’ll need:

500g of crimson color yarn (50% wool, 50% polyacryl; 150m/100g);

Odds of cream color yarn;

Crochet hook 6;

4 hidden snaps.

Size: 5-6 years.

Used Patterns

Main pattern: 1st row (RS): half crochets;

2nd and 4th rows: half double crochets, insert the crochet hook in crossed thread of yarn of the previous row;

3rd row: back post double crochets.

Make 1st-4th rows x once, then, repeat 3rd-4th rows. Start every row with 2 chain sts increase instead of the 1st half crochet.

Note: work as one-piece cloth from left sleeve to right sleeve across.

Instructions

Make 22 chain sts + 2 chain sts increase, turn, make 1 row, leave the last st. Then, join auxiliary yarn, make 26 chain sts and cut the yarn. After that, make 82 double crochets to the end of chain with working yarn. Work with the main pattern for 10 cm straight.

Then, divide your work in half and finish back and front separately for forming neck-hole. Make back in the first 41 sts with the main pattern for 18 cm. Leave your work. After that, return to the previously left 41 sts of front, make 18 cm of the main pattern and finish your work.

After that, make 41 chain sts + 2 chain sts increase for right front and work with the main pattern for 18 cm straight. Then, connect back and right front and continue work as one-piece cloth for 10 cm straight. Then, bind off 26 sts from each side and make sleeve, decrease 4 x 1 st in every 6th row from both sides. Finish your work at 35 cm height of sleeve.

Assembly

Make side seams. Fasten neck-hole with 1 row of slip sts. Fasten the bottom edge of jacket with 2 rows of main pattern. Sew 2 pairs of snaps from inwards for front. For belt, make 110 chain sts and 1 row of half double crochets.

Directions are difficult to understand.  I have never heard of a half crochet.  Also, there is no weight given for the yarn.  I love the pattern but don’t see how I could make it.
