Instructions

Stockinette stitch is made with knitting needles 5. Right-side rows are made with knit stitches, and wrong-side rows are made with purls.

Garter stitch is made with knitting needles 4.5.

Make a relief pattern with knitting needles 4.5. The quantity of stitches is multiplied by 3 + 2 selvedge stitches.

Relief Pattern Rows:

1st row: selvedge stitch, 2 knit stitches, *1 yarn over, slip 1 stitch as knit stitch, 2 knit stitches and draw them through the slipped stitch*, 1 knit stitch, selvedge stitch;

2nd and all even rows: purl;

3rd row: selvedge stitch, 1 knit stitch, *1 yarn over, slip 1 stitch as knit stitch, 2 knit stitches and draw them through the slipped stitch*, 2 knit stitches, selvedge stitch;

5th row: selvedge stitch, 3 knit stitches, *1 yarn over, slip 1 stitch as knit stitch, 2 knit stitches and draw them through the slipped stitch*.

Repeat from 1st to 6th rows.

Back

Cast on 62 (68) 74 stitches. Make 8 next rows with garter stitch. Continue knitting with stockinette stitch. After knitting 11 (14) 15 cm from the beginning of work, make 2 rows with garter stitch.

Continue with 14 rows of relief ornament. Then, 2 rows of garter stitch. Knit to the end with stockinette stitch.

Bind off 1 x 3 stitches in every 2nd row and 1 x 2, 2 x 1 stitches for the armholes, stepping 15 (17) 19 cm from the beginning of work. Bind off from both sides at the same time. You'll get 48 (54) 60 stitches.

After 4 (5) 6 cm from the beginning of armholes, divide your details into two parts and finish them separately.

To create chamfers for shoulder, bind off 1 x 4 (5) 6 stitches from the beginning of armhole from both sides in 9 (10) 11 cm and 1 x 5 (6) 7 stitches in every 2nd row. At the same time, bind off 1 x 10 (11) 12 stitches from the inner side of neck-hole and 1 x 5 stitches in every 2nd row. Bind off all stitches of the neck-hole in 1 cm.

Front

Make in analogy with back. Do not make cuts and neck-hole should be deeper. Bind off middle 14 (16) 18 stitches in 8 cm from the beginning of the armhole and finish both sides separately. To make rounding, bind off 1 x 3 stitches, 1 x 2 stitches, 3 x 1 stitches from inwards in every 2nd row. Make chamfers in analogy to back.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams, cast on 56 (60) 64 stitches along the neck-hole and make 2 plackets with 2 rows of garter stitch, bind off with purls. Cast on 44 (47) 50 stitches along the armholes and fasten the plackets in the same way as the neck-hole. Then, make side seams. Fasten the edges with 1 row of single crochets and make 1 hole for the button. Sew the button.
