Instructions

Stockinette stitch is made with knitting needles 5. Right-side rows are made with knit sts, wrong-side rows are made with purls.

Garter stitch is made with knitting needles 4,5. Right-side and wrong-side rows are made with knit sts. Make circle rows with 1 row of purls and 1 row of knit sts by turn.

Make relief pattern with knitting needles 4,5. The quantity of sts is multipled 3 + 2 selvedge sts.

1st row: selvedge st, 2 knit sts, * 1 yarn over, slip 1 st as knit st, 2 knit sts and draw them through the slipped st*, 1 knit st, selvedge st;

2nd and all the even rows: purl;

3rd row: selvedge st, 1 knit st, * 1 yarn over, slip 1 st as knit st, 2 knit sts and draw them through the slipped st*, 2 knit st, selvedge st;

5th row: selvedge st, 3 knit st, * 1 yarn over, slip 1 st as knit st, 2 knit sts and draw them through the slipped st*.

Repeat from 1st to 6th rows.

Back

Cast on 62 (68) 74 sts. Make 8 next rows with garter stitch. Continue knitting with stockinette stitch. After knitting 11 (14) 15 cm from the beginning of work, make 2 rows with garter stitch. Continue with 14 rows of relief ornament. Then, 2 rows of garter stitch. Knit to end with stockinette stitch.

It's necessary to bind off 1 x 3 sts in every 2nd row and 1 x 2, 2 x1 sts for the arm-holes, stepping 15 (17) 19 cm from the beginning of work. Bind off from both sides at the same time. You'll get 48 (54) 60 sts. After 4 (5) 6 cm from the beginning of arm-holes, divide your details in two parts and finish them separately.

In order to get chamfers for shoulder, bind off 1x4 (5) 6 sts from the beginning of arm-hole from both sides in 9 (10) 11 cm and 1 x 5 (6) 7 sts in every 2nd row. Front

Make in analogy with back. Don't make cuts and neck-hole should be deeper. Bind off middle 14 (16) 18 sts in 8 cm from the beginning of arm-hole and finish both sides separately. In order to make rounding, bind off 1 x 3 sts, 1 x 2 sts, 3 x 1 sts from inwards in every 2nd row. Make chamfers in analogy to back.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams, cast on 56 (60) 64 sts along the neck-hole and make 2 plackets with 2 rows of garter stitch, bind off with purls. Cast on 44 (47) 50 sts along the arm-holes and fasten the plackets, the same way as neck-hole. Then, make side seams. Fasten the edges with 1 row of single crochets and make 1 hole for the button. Sew the button.
