You’ll Need

350 (400)g of 100% cotton yarn in green color (125m/50g);

300 (350)g of the same yarn, but in white color;

Straight and circle knitting needles 3.5;

Zigzags Pattern

The quantity of sts is multiple of 13 + 2 selvedge sts. Work according to the scheme, where both RS and WS rows are stated. Repeat the pattern between selvedge sts.

Patterns Order 1 in Zigzags Pattern

Make 1^st-4^th rows, then 5^th-10^th rows and 11^th-18^th rows once with green and white yarn, then make 11^th-18^th rows once with green yarn = 44 rows.

Patterns Order 2 in Zigzags Pattern

Make 1^st-2^nd rows x 13 times and 3^rd-4^th rows x once with white yarn, *1^st-2^nd rows x 9 times and 3^rd-4^th rows x once*; repeat from * to * once with green and white yarn;

*1^st-2^nd rows x 8 times and 3^rd-4^th rows x once*; repeat from * to * once with green and white yarn;

*1^st-2^nd rows x 7 times and 3^rd-4^th rows x once*; repeat from * to * once with green and white yarn;

*1^st-2^nd rows x 6 times and 3^rd-4^th rows x once*; repeat from * to * once with green and white yarn;

*1^st-2^nd rows x 5 times and 3^rd-4^th rows x once*; repeat from * to * once with green and white yarn;

*1^st-2^nd rows x 4 times and 3^rd-4^th rows x once*; repeat from * to * once with green and white yarn;

Stitches Control

Zigzags pattern: 29 sts x 29.5 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Stockinette stitch: 25.5 sts x 29.5 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Top

Back

Cast on 119 (132) sts with criss-cross method and green yarn, make 44 rows of patterns order 1 once. Then, work with stockinette stitch in green yarn, decrease 14 (16) sts in the 1^st row = 105 (116) sts. In 24 cm = 70 rows from the set-up row, bind off 4 sts from both sides for arm-holes and 1 x 3 sts, 2 x 2 sts, 1 x 1 st in every 2^nd row and 3 x 1 st in every 4^th row = 75 (86) sts. In 35 cm = 104 rows (36 cm = 106 rows) from the set-up row, bind off the central 31 (34) sts for the neck-hole and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 4 sts, 1 x 3 sts, 1 x 2 sts and 3 x 1 st in every 2^nd row from inwards. In 40 cm = 118 rows (41 cm = 120 rows) from the set-up row, bind off the rest 10 (14) sts for shoulder from each side.

Front

Make in the same way as back, but with a deeper neck-hole. For this, in 27 cm = 80 rows (28 cm = 82 rows) from the set-up row, bind off the central 19 (20) sts and 1 x 4 (5) sts, 1 x 3 sts, 2 x 2 sts, 3 x 1 st in every 2^nd row and 4 x 1 st in every 4^th row.

Assembly

Make shoulder and side seams. Cast on 160 (166) sts along the neck-hole with circle knitting needles and green yarn and 94 (99) sts along the edges of arm-holes, make 2 circle rows of purls and then bind off the sts as knit sts.

Skirt

Back and Front

Cast on 145 (158) sts with criss-cross method and white yarn and work according to patterns order 2. At the same time, in 69 cm = 204 rows from the set-up row, decrease 1 st from both sides for waist narrowing and 19 x 1 st in every 2^nd row = 105 (118) sts.
