Crochet and Lace Top
Crochet and Lace Top

You’ll need:

1 ball of dark-blue yarn Circulo Clea (100% cotton; 750m);

3, 45 m of white lace Circulo Renda Trico Amor Perfeito (100% polyamide; 28 m, 60 mm wide);

Crochet hooks 1,5 and 2.

Size: L.

Used Patterns

Single crochets: start with 1 chain st increase instead of the 1st single crochet, finish the circle row with 1 slip st in chain st increase;

Double crochets: start with 3 chain sts increase instead of the 1st single crochet, finish the circle row with 1 slip st in chain st increase;

Main pattern 1: due to the scheme 1 with circle rows. Start with chain st increase and finish with slip st in upper chain st increase;

Main pattern 2: due to the scheme 2 with circle rows. Start with chain st increase and finish with slip st in upper chain st increase;

Fancy pattern: due to the scheme 3 with circle rows. Start with chain st increase and finish with slip st in upper chain st increase;

Fringe: due to the scheme 4.

Instructions

Cut 3 stripes of lace 1,15 m each and sew in a circle. Connect the 1st and 2nd stripes with the main pattern 1, the 3rd stripe with the main pattern 2. Make the upper part of top from the 3rd stripe with fancy pattern (totally, 20 motifs). In 12 rows from the set-up row (finish 1 vertical motif), divide your work in the following way: 10 motifs for front, 10 motifs for back and then crochet each part separately. Make shoulder seams with slip st to 15 cm (2 motifs).

Fasten the neck-hole line and bottom with fringe due to the scheme 4.

I’m not familiar with some of the terms. What is a chain increase and what does mean by the scheme?

I have been knitting and crocheting plus I teach both for about 50 some years. Where you from?
