Crocheting a Stunning Top and Skirt Set





Top
You'll Need:
150g of white yarn (50% viscose, 50% polyacryl; 430m/100g);
Crochet hook 2.
Size:
SOrnament for bodice: scheme 1-1. The increases of sts for bodice are stated on the scheme. It is stated with 1 in drawing.
Relief pattern: scheme 1-2. Circle rows are stated on the scheme.
Main pattern: scheme 1-3. Repeat from 1st to 6th rows. Circle rows are stated on the scheme. It is stated with 3 in drawing.
Instructions
Sizes, ornament location and direction of work are stated on the drawing design (pic. 1-1). Work consists of two parts of the bodice; crochet them separately. Then crochet back and front as one whole from up to down, around and without any seams.
Bodice
Make 2 parts of bodice according to the scheme 1-1. First, make 2 parts of bodice separately from 1st to 14th rows. Then, connect them and crochet as one whole cloth from 15th to 21st rows, increasing sts from both sides for making arm-holes, as it is stated on the scheme. Make a chain of 52 chain sts for the back, circle it, and make back according to the scheme 1-3 (from 1st to 6th rows).
Bottom Part
Crochet with one circle whole cloth without any seams from the bottom edge of bodice with an ornament on the scheme 1-2 (place 10 patterns on the whole width of your work). Crochet all the rows of the scheme. Then, make a stripe with ornament, stated on the scheme 1-3. Make from 1st to 6th rows and finish working with the lower part of your top, making the 7th row of the scheme 1-3.
Assembly
Crochet the upper edge of your top according to the scheme 1-4. Make a chain of chain sts 50 cm long for each of the two straps with yarn folded in half. Attach loose ends to the upper edges of your bodice, and the other two loose ends insert into the holes of ornament, tight to the needed size.
Skirt
You'll Need:
350g of white yarn (50% viscose, 50% polyacryl; 430m/100g);
45 cm of white satin cloth to make backing;
80 cm of narrow white elastic ribbon;
Crochet hooks 2 and 2.5.
Size:

Main pattern: scheme 1-3. Repeat from 1st to 6th rows. Circle rows are stated on the scheme. It is represented with 3 in drawing. Sizes, ornament location and direction of work are stated on the drawing design (pic. 2-1). The skirt is crocheted around as one whole cloth without any seams. Make a chain of 180 chain sts with crochet hook 2, circle it, and crochet around with the main pattern according to the scheme 1-3 (20 patterns). Circle each row with slip stitch and make the needed quantity of chain sts for the next row. Place the increase line for the new row along the side seam. Crochet from 1st to 6th rows; then with crochet hook 2.5 crochet with the relief ornament according to the scheme 1-2 (place 10 patterns on the whole width of your work). Crochet all the rows on the scheme, then crochet with the ornament according to the scheme 1-3 (place 22 patterns on the whole width of your work). Then, crochet all the rows according to the scheme 1-2 again. Finally, crochet according to the scheme 1-3 (from 1st to 7th rows) and finish your work. Crochet the upper edge of skirt according to the scheme 1-4.
Make a chain of chain sts 2 m long with yarn folded in half and insert it into the holes of ornament along the upper edge of the skirt. Sew the backing from the satin cloth and sew the elastic ribbon along the belt line. Sew the backing to the skirt along the waistline from the wrong side.
