How to Knit a Stylish Tunic From Scratch

You'll Need:
600 g of composite yarn (50% wool, 50% acryl; 55m/50g) in olive or grey color;
Knitting needle size 6;
Crochet hook size 6.
Size:
M-L
Stitches Control:
13 sts and 19 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Instructions
The back and front of the tunic are knitted from the bottom up as a whole piece. Cast on 195 sts with circular needles, and then make 101 rows of "braids" according to the pattern.
When the last row is finished, there will be 130 sts left on the needles. From the 102nd row, divide your work into two halves, with 65 sts for the back and 65 sts for the front. Transfer the 65 sts for the front to an auxiliary needle and set them aside for later. Start knitting the back on the 103rd row from the beginning and bind off the sts from the edges, decreasing 1 st a total of 13 times. There will be 39 sts remaining after these decreases. Complete the back by finishing it in the 129th row and binding off the last sts.
Knit the front the same way as the back. After finishing both the back and front, gather the details and knit 2 straps in advance. To create elegant straps, attach yarn to the selvage row of the back and crochet stripes to the desired length with the crochet hook, making holes for the fastener. Finally, reinforce the upper area with single crochets and also include a row of "shrimp stitch".
