How to Crochet a Stylish Children's Sweater

You’ll Need:

250g of 100% acryl yarn in ivory color;

50g of the same yarn, but in dark-blue color;

Crochet hook 3.

Size:

3-4 years.

Stitches Control:

20 sts = 10 cm.

Instructions

Front and Back

Make as one-piece cloth, starting from bottom. Make 160 chain sts with ivory yarn and circle them in the ring with 1 slip st around due to the scheme 1.

At 32 cm height, continue work with single crochets for 3 cm, decrease 20 sts in the last row = 140 sts and work with double crochets. At 8 cm height from single crochets, mark 62 sts for front and back with contrast yarn, leaving 8 sts from both sides for each arm-hole. Make 62 sts for back, decreasing 4 x 1 st in every row from both sides of arm-holes = 54 sts. At 57 cm height, after getting 14 sts for each shoulder and 26 sts for neck-hole, finish your work. Turn 62 sts of front, making arm-holes in the same way as for back. At 6 cm height from the beginning of arm-holes, bind off the central 26 sts for neck-hole and finish both sides separately.

Sleeves

Make 46 chain sts with dark-blue yarn and work, alternating 2 rows of single crochets and a row of double crochets, increasing 3 x 1 st in every 2^nd row = 52 sts. At 5 cm height, bind off 5 x 3 sts in every row from both sides for sleeve cap = 22 sts and finish your work. Total height is about 10 cm.

Assembly

Make all the seams and sew up the sleeves in the arm-holes. Fasten neck-hole with 1 row of single crochet with dark-blue yarn. Fasten the bottom of your work with 2 rows of double crochets from every st of lower row. Make 2 flowers according to scheme 2 and sew them to front with ivory yarn.
