700 (800) 900g of white yarn (58% viscose, 42% cotton; 115m/50g);
Crochet hook 5.
Size: S (M) L.
Used Patterns:
Main Pattern
The main pattern consists of single crochets, where you insert the crochet hook only behind the back loop of the stitches of the previous row. Start every row with an additional chain stitch increase and finish with a single crochet in the first single crochet of the previous row.
Square Pattern
For the first square, starting at arrow A, make 33 chain stitches + 1 chain stitch increase and work according to the scheme for 16 rows in straight and reversed order, inserting the crochet hook only behind the front loop. The first square is now finished.
For the second square, join the yarn at arrow B in the corner of the first square and make 16 chain stitches. Turn your work, and for the first row, fasten the setup chain, then fasten the side edge of the first square and continue working with rows in straight and reversed order. Make squares for the first stripe in the same way. For the second stripe of squares, join the yarn at the upper left corner of the last square of the first stripe (arrow C) and continue working in the same way.
Stitches Control
Square: 9 x 9 cm.
Instructions
Make 33 chain stitches + 1 chain stitch increase and create a stripe of 12 (14) 16 squares. Repeat 5 stripes of squares in height. Then, continue working with squares, but only make squares on 15 stitches and 15 rows. To do this, make 1 x 2 stitches together from both sides of the corner in the first row. After completing 7 stripes of squares (equal to 61 cm from the setup row), divide your work in half (6 (7) 8 squares) and make 2 additional stripes of squares on each half with 14 stitches x 14 rows squares. Upon reaching 9 stripes of squares (75 cm from the setup row), make 7 cm of the main pattern for the placket and finish your work.
Assembly
Make shoulder seams from both sides, leaving the central 28 cm open for the neck-hole. Construct the side seam on 7 stripes of squares (equal to 61 cm). Fasten the edges of the armholes with 1 round of single crochets and slip stitches.
