Materials Needed

You’ll need:

• 300 (400) 400g of white Sol yarn (100% cotton; 200m/100g);
• 200 (200) 300g of the same yarn, but in grey color;
• Straight knitting needles 7;
• Circular knitting needles 4,5.

The quantity of sts is multiple of 17 + 2 selvage sts.

Stripes Order

Stripes order: 2 white rows, 2 grey rows by turn.

Stitches Control

Stitches control: 19,5 sts x 23,5 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back Section

Cast on 138 (155) 172 sts with white yarn and make 1 WS row of knit sts; don’t take this row into account. Then, make the skirt part with the wavy pattern according to the stripes order. In 30 cm = 70 rows from the set-up row, bind off 14 sts from both sides and 5 x 4 sts in every 2^nd row = 70 (87) 104 sts. In 34 cm = 80 rows from the set-up row, make the upper part with the wavy pattern using white yarn.

At 32.5 cm = 76 rows (29 cm = 68 rows) 25.5 cm = 60 rows height of the upper part, bind off 3 sts from both sides for arm-holes and 1 x 2 sts, 3 x 1 st in every 2^nd row = 54 (71) 88 sts. At 47.6 cm = 112 rows of height of upper part, bind off the central 14 (19) 24 sts for the neck-hole and finish both sides separately. For a smooth rounding, bind off 2 x 3 sts, 2 x 2 sts in every 2^nd row from inwards. At 52 cm = 122 rows of the upper part, bind off 10 (16) 22 sts of shoulder from each side.

Front Section

Make in the same way as back, but with a deeper neck-hole. For this, at 30.5 cm = 72 rows height of the upper part, bind off the central 8 (13) 18 sts and 1 x 2 sts, 11 x 1 st in every 4^th row.

Assembly

Make shoulder and side seams. Cast on 124 (134) 144 sts with circular knitting needles and white yarn along the neck-hole line and make 1 circle row of purls and bind off the sts as knit sts. Cast on 82 (90) 98 sts along arm-holes with circular knitting needles and white yarn and knit in the same way.
