Main Pattern

Crochet hook 4.5: The quantity of stitches is multiple of 3 + 2 + 2 chain stitches increase.

Note: Work with double crochets behind chain stitches of the previous row from the 2^nd row. Group of crochets: 1 double crochet, 1 chain stitch, 1 double crochet in 1 base stitch.

Flower Motif

Crochet hook 5: Make 8 chain stitches and circle them in a ring with 1 slip stitch. Then, work with circle rows according to scheme 2. Work with single crochets and double crochets in lower chain stitches in the 2^nd and 3^rd rows. Connect motifs to the neck-hole in the 4^th row. For this, join the yarn to one corner arch and, at first, fasten the upper edge of the motif with single crochets, make single crochets behind chain stitches, make 1 single crochet in the edge of neck-hole and 1 single crochet in the arch of motif on the rest 3 edges.

Fringe

Crochet hook 4: Start every circle row with 1 chain stitch instead of the 1^st single crochet and finish with 1 slip stitch in chain stitch increase.

1^st row: Single crochets;

2^nd row: *1 stitch of “crab stitch”, 1 chain stitch, skip 1 stitch of the previous row*.

Repeat 1^st-2^nd rows.

Stitches Control:

Main pattern: 16 stitches x 8 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Flower motif: 16 x 16 cm.

Instructions

Back/Front

Make 101 (107) chain stitches with crochet hook 4.5 and work with the main pattern = 33 (35) groups of double crochets + 1 selvage stitch from both sides of double crochets. Decrease 1 stitch for side chamfers from both sides in 1 row from the set-up row and decrease 14 x 1 stitch in every 3^rd and 2^nd rows alternately = 23 (25) groups of double crochets + 1 selvage stitch from both sides of double crochets.

In 47.5 cm = 38 rows from the set-up row, don’t make group of double crochets from both sides and make 1 double crochet in the remaining 2 double crochets in the following rows = 69 (75) stitches. In 52.5 cm = 42 rows (55 cm = 44 rows) from the set-up row, make 2 double crochets in the central 3 groups of double crochets together = 63 (69) stitches. Make 2 double crochets together and 3 double crochets together in the next row upon the central 5 stitches = 60 (66) stitches.

In 55 cm = 44 rows (57.5 cm = 46 rows) from the set-up row, leave the central 26 stitches for neck-hole and finish both sides separately. In 58.5 cm = 47 rows (60 cm = 48 rows) from the set-up row, leave 6 (8) stitches from the outer edge for arm-hole and bind off 10 (11) x 1 stitch in every row. In 14 cm = 11 rows (15 cm = 12 rows) from the beginning of the arm-hole, finish your work. Make 25 single crochets along the horizontal edge of neck-hole. Make the flower motif.

Assembly

Make side seams. For straps, join yarn to the upper corners of the front and make 2 chains of 20 chain stitches, with 1 slip stitch in the corners of the back. Fasten the neck-hole with fringe, making 30 single crochets in the 1^st row in the straps and 25 single crochets in the edge of the motif. Fasten arm-holes with fringe, making 23 (25) single crochets in the edges of arm-holes in the 1^st row and 30 single crochets in straps. Fasten the lower edge with fringe, making 1 single crochet in every stitch in the 1^st row.
