You’ll need:

100 (150) 200g of blue-grey yarn (96% cotton, 4% polyester; 160m/50g);

Odds of the same yarn, but in white color;

1 button;

Circular knitting needles 3,5;

Crochet hook 3.

 

Size: 2-3 (4-5) 6-7 years.

 

Used Patterns

Stockinette stitch: work with circle rows only knit sts.

Pattern on 6 sts of set-up row: work with straight and reversed rows due to the scheme with crochet hook. Turn the rows as stated on the scheme. Start with sts before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, finish with sts after pattern repeat. Make 1st-4th rows x once, then, repeat 3rd-4th rows.

Instructions

Back and Front

Make back and front as one-piece cloth. Make 97 (109) 121 chain sts with blue yarn and circle them in the ring with 1 slip st, then, work with circle rows due to the scheme. Make 4th and 5th rows with white yarn, then, change to blue yarn again. In 19 (22) 25 cm from the set-up row, divide sts in the middle for front and back and finish both details separately.

 

Back

Work on sts of back due to the scheme in straight and reversed directions, leave 1 pattern repeat open from both sides for arm-holes in the 1st row = 3 cm. In 7 (9) 11 cm from the beginning of arm-holes, leave 6 (7) 8 cm open from inwards. At 9,5 (11,5) 13,5 cm height of arm-hole finish the detail.

 

Front

Work and finish this detail in the same way, as back, but with deeper neck-hole. At 3,5 (5,5) 7,5 cm height of arm-hole, divide your work in the middle and finish both sides separately. At 7 (9) 11 cm height of arm-hole, leave the central 12 (14) 16 cm open for neck-hole. Finish the detail at the height of back.

 

Sleeves

Make 33 (39) 45 chain sts + 3 chain sts increase instead of the 1st double crochet, then, work with rows in straight and reversed order due to the scheme. Make 4th and 5th rows with white yarn, then, change to blue yarn again. In 11,5 (13,5) 15,5 cm from the set-up row, finish your work.

 

Assembly

Make shoulder seams. Fasten neck-hole and edges of cut with 1 row of single crochets, make 1 hanging loop on the right edge. Make side and sleeve seams. Sew button.
