You’ll Need

500 (550)g of blue/blue-green/silver (#10) Lana Grossa Argentina yarn (75% cotton, 20% viscose, 5% lurex; 90m/50g).

Straight knitting needles 4 and 5.

Crochet hook 4.

Size

S (M).

Used Patterns

Wrong-Side Pattern

In RS row – purls, in WS row – knit sts.

Stockinette Stitch

In RS row – knit sts, in WS row – purls.

Pattern with Slipped Stitches

Work according to the scheme. Start with sts before the 1st arrow, repeat the pattern of 6 sts between arrows, and finish with sts after the 2nd arrow. 3 pattern repeats are indicated on the scheme. Repeat 1st-5th rows, and finish with the 6th row, making purls without yarn overs in the last WS row.

Note: Make a yarn over before 1 selvage st at the end of the 2nd and 4th rows.

Stitches Control

18 sts x 10.5 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 81 (93) sts with knitting needles 4 and make 1.5 cm = 2 rows of wrong-side pattern and 2 rows of stockinette stitch. Then, work with the pattern of slip sts with knitting needles 5. In 32.5 cm = 34 rows from the placket, bind off 6 sts for arm-holes from both sides = 69 (81) sts. After that, knit straight. In 18.5 (20.5) cm = 19th (21st) rows from the beginning of arm-holes, finish with the 6th row of the pattern. Bind off sts.

Front

Make in the same way as back.

Sleeves

Cast on 51 sts with knitting needles 4 and make 1.5 cm = 2 rows of wrong-side pattern and 2 rows of stockinette stitch. Then, work with slip sts pattern with knitting needles 5. For chamfers, increase 1 st from both sides of the placket in the 3rd row, then bind off 6 (4) x 1 st in every 4th row and 2 (7) x 1 st in every 2nd row = 69 (75) sts. Include the increased sts in the pattern. In 32.5 cm = 34 rows from the placket, make marks from both sides and knit straight. In 3.5 cm from the mark, finish your work with the 6th row. Bind off sts.

Assembly

Make seams, sleeve seams only to marks, and make shoulder seams to 3.5 (5.5) cm. Fasten the neck-hole with 1 circle row of slip sts using crochet hook 4. Sew up the sleeves.
