You’ll Need:

350 (400) 450g of sandy yarn (90% cotton, 10% cashmere; 125m/50g);

Knitting needles 4;

Circular knitting needles 4.

Size:

S (M) L.

Used Patterns

Rib Pattern

The quantity of sts is even. Start and finish every row with 1 selvage st. RS rows: * 1 cross knit st, 1 purl*; WS rows: * 1 knit st, 1 cross purl*.

Relief Pattern

The quantity of sts is multiple of 6 + 2 selvage sts. Work according to the scheme, on which only RS rows are stated; make sts in WS rows and yarn overs as purls. Start with 1 selvage st and sts before pattern repeat, followed by the pattern repeat, finishing with sts after pattern repeat and 1 selvage st. Repeat the 1st-12th rows.

Marked Decrease

Right side: 1 selvage st, 2 knit sts, broaching; left side: work according to the pattern to the last 5 sts, knit 2 tog, 2 knit sts, 1 selvage st.

Stitches Control:

22 sts x 26.5 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 110 (116) 122 sts and make 10 cm of rib for the placket. Continue working with the relief pattern. In 16 cm = 42 rows from the placket (in the 7th row of the scheme), bind off 1 x 11 sts from both sides for raglan chamfers. Then, make marked decreases of 21 (24) 27 x 1 st in every 2nd row. In 32.5 cm = 86 rows (34.5 cm = 92 rows) 37 cm = 98 rows from the placket, bind off the rest 46 sts for the neck hole.

Front

Make in the same way as the back, but start making the raglan chamfer in 11.5 cm = 30 rows from the placket. In 25 cm = 66 rows (27 cm = 72 rows) 29.5 cm = 78 rows from the placket, bind off the central 18 sts for the neck hole and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 3 x 1 st in every 2nd row from inwards. In 28 cm = 74 rows (30 cm = 80 rows) 32.5 cm = 86 rows from the placket, bind off the rest 6 sts from the placket.

Sleeves

Cast on 56 (62) 68 sts for each sleeve and make 10 cm of rib for the placket. Continue working with the relief pattern. At the same time, increase 12 x 1 st in every 6th row from both sides of the plackets for sleeve chamfers, and work according to the pattern = 80 (86) 92 sts. Make raglan chamfer in 34 cm = 90 rows from the placket in the same way as for the back. In 50.5 cm = 134 rows (52.5 cm = 140 rows) 55 cm = 146 rows from the placket, bind off the rest 16 sts.

Assembly

Make raglan seams. For the placket, cast on 120 sts along the neck hole with circular knitting needles and work with rib in circular rows. Bind off all sts when the width of the placket is 4.5 cm. Make side and sleeve seams.
