How to Knit a Garment with Cashseta Yarn


You’ll Need:
400 (450) 500g of light-green (#22) Cashseta yarn (40% modala, 30% polyamide, 15% cashmere; 100m/50g);
Knitting needles 6 and 15;
Crochet hook 5.5.
Size:
S (M) L.
Used Patterns
Main pattern: 1st row (RS): knit;
2nd row (WS): purl;
3rd row (RS): knit;
4th row: purl;
5th row: knit;
6th row: purl.
Repeat 1st-6th rows once, then repeat 3rd-6th rows.
Stitches Control:
11.5 sts x 17 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Instructions
Back
Cast on 56 (60) 66 sts with knitting needles 6 and make 1 WS row of knit sts and work with the main pattern using knitting needles 6 and 15. In 38 cm from the set-up row, bind off 1 x 3 sts from both sides, then bind off 2 x 1 st in every 2nd row = 46 (50) 56 sts. In 56 (57) 58 cm from the set-up row, bind off all sts.
Front
Make in the same way as the back. In 52 (53) 54 cm from the set-up row, bind off the central 16 sts for neck-hole, then bind off 1 x 3 sts and 2 x 1 st in every 2nd row. In 56 (57) 58 cm from the set-up row, bind off the remaining 10 (12) 15 sts of each shoulder.
Sleeves
Cast on 30 sts with knitting needles 6 and make 1 WS row with knit sts and work with the main pattern using knitting needles 6 and 15. In 17 cm from the set-up row, increase 1 x 1 st from both sides, then bind off 5 x 1 st in every 8th row (2 x 1 st in every 8th row and 4 x 1 st in every 6th row) 7 x 1 st in every 6th row = 42 (44) 46 sts. In 44 cm from the set-up row, bind off 1 x 3 sts from both sides for the sleeve cap, then bind off 10 x 1 st and 1 x 2 sts in every 2nd row (9 x 1 st and 2 x 2 sts in every 2nd row) 9 x 1 st, 1 x 2 sts and 1 x 3 sts in every 2nd row. In 14 cm from the beginning of the sleeve cap, bind off the remaining 12 sts.
Assembly
Make shoulder seams. Fasten the neck-hole with 1 row of slip sts using crochet hook 5.5. Sew up the sleeves and complete the side and sleeve seams.
