Knitting Instructions for a Blue-Green Linen Sweater

You’ll Need:

400 (450) 500g of blue-green yarn (100% linen; 110m/50g);

Beads pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple of 6 + 2 + 2 selvage sts. Work according to the scheme, which states both RS and WS rows.

Stitches Control:

31.5 sts x 22 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back

Cast on 119 (131) 143 sts and make 8 cm with 1 x 1 rib for placket. Increase 29 sts in the last WS row = 148 (160) 172 sts. In 31 cm = 68 rows from placket, continue work as follows: make rows 69^th-72^nd x once = 131 (143) 155 sts. Then, make the 73^rd-76^th rows x 8 (9) 10 times. Make decreases, except the 71^st row, in WS rows. Decrease 17 sts in the 69^th-72^nd rows, then decrease 6 sts in every 2^nd row. In 47 cm = 104 rows (49 cm = 108 rows) 51 cm = 112 rows from placket, make 4 straight rows on the rest 35 sts, then make rows 105^th-108^th (109^th-112^th) (113^th-115^th) x once. In 49 cm = 108 rows (51 cm = 112 rows) 53 cm = 116 rows from placket, leave all the sts.

Front

Make in the same way as the back.

Assembly

For the collar, cast on the previously left 35 sts of the back, 10 new sts, 35 sts of the front, 10 new sts and circle them into a ring. Work on all the 90 sts with 1 x 1 rib in circular rows.

When the width of your collar is 8 cm, bind off all the sts according to the pattern. For armholes, cast on 104 sts from both sides of each armhole, including 10 new sts and 104 sts, then make 3 circular rows as knit sts.

Bind off all the sts as knit sts. Make side seams.
