Instructions
Make 4 chain stitches with burgundy yarn and circle them in a ring using a slip stitch.
1st row: 6 single crochets in the ring;
2nd row: 1 single crochet in every single crochet of the previous row = 12 stitches;
3rd row: * 1 single crochet in the 1st crochet, 2 single crochets in the next single crochet*; repeat from * to * until the end of the row = 18 stitches;
4th row: * 1 single crochet in each of the first 2 crochets, 2 single crochets in the next single crochet*; repeat from * to * until the end of the row = 24 stitches;
5th row: * 1 single crochet in the first 3 crochets, 2 single crochets in the next single crochet*; repeat from * to * until the end of the row = 30 stitches;
6th row: * 1 single crochet in the next 4 crochets, 2 single crochets in the next single crochet*; repeat from * to * until the end of the row = 36 stitches;
7th row: * 1 single crochet in the next 5 crochets, 2 single crochets in the next single crochet*; repeat from * to * until the end of the row = 42 stitches;
8th row: * 1 single crochet in the next 6 crochets, 2 single crochets in the next single crochet*; repeat from * to * until the end of the row = 48 stitches;
9th row: * 1 single crochet in the next 7 crochets, 2 single crochets in the next single crochet*; repeat from * to * until the end of the row = 54 stitches;
10th row: * 1 single crochet in the next 8 crochets, 2 single crochets in the next single crochet*; repeat from * to * until the end of the row = 60 stitches;
11th row: * 1 single crochet in the next 9 crochets, 2 single crochets in the next single crochet*; repeat from * to * until the end of the row = 66 stitches;
12th row: 1 single crochet in every single crochet, increase 0-2-6 single crochets = 66-68-72 stitches.
13th to 17th rows: 1 single crochet in every crochet;
18th row: 1 single crochet in every single crochet, decrease 5-4-5 single crochets = 61-64-67 stitches;
Make 1 single crochet in every crochet until you reach a height of 16-17-18 cm.
Visor
Work in front above the central 14-16-16 stitches.
1st row: 1 single crochet in every crochet;
2nd row: 1 chain stitch, 2 single crochets in the 1st crochet, 1 single crochet in each of the following 12-14-14 crochets, 2 single crochets in the last single crochet = 16-18-18 stitches;
3rd row: 1 chain stitch, 3 single crochets in the 1st crochet, 1 single crochet in every crochet to the last one, 3 single crochets, and 1 slip stitch in the next crochet = 20-22-22 stitches;
4th row: 1 chain stitch, 3 single crochets in the 1st crochet, 1 single crochet in every single crochet to the last one, 3 single crochets, and 1 slip stitch in the next crochet = 24-26-26 stitches;
5th row: single crochet in every single crochet of the visor and cap around;
6th row: “shrimp stitch” (single crochets from right to left) along the visor and cap. Fasten the yarn and weave in the ends.
Flower
Circle chain stitches in a ring using a slip stitch (burgundy yarn).
1st row: 2 chain stitches (instead of the 1st half double crochet), 2 half double crochets in the ring of chain stitches, * 5 chain stitches, 1 single crochet in the last half double crochet, 3 half double crochets in the ring of chain stitches*; repeat from * to * 5 times, 5 chain stitches, and 1 slip stitch in the 2nd chain stitch;
2nd row: change to red yarn and make 1 single crochet in the center of the first 3 half double crochets at the beginning of the row, * 10 double crochets in the arch of chain stitches, skip 1 half double crochet, 1 single crochet in the next half double crochet, skip 1 half double crochet*; repeat from * to * until the end of the row, and finish with a slip stitch.
Sew the flower onto the cap.
