What You Need
- Worsted weight acrylic yarn
- 12 inches of green embroidery floss
- Size F (3.75 mm) hook
- Polyester fiber fill
- Yarn needle
- Clip to keep place
- Scissors
Pepper Top Instructions
Work in continuous rounds:
- Chain 2
- Round 1: Work 6 sc in first chain
- Round 2: 2 sc in each sc around - 12 st
- Round 3: *2 sc in next st, sc in next st, rep from * around - 18 st
- Round 4-9: Sc in each sc around
- Round 10: *Sc2tog, sc in next st, rep from * around - 12 st
- Stuff firmly
- Round 11: Sc2tog around - 6 st
- Sew up end
- Leave a tail of 24 inches
Run yarn to the top of the pepper and thread down through the hole in the middle, pull tight. Repeat so you have two threads pulling a curve down into your pepper.
Repeat till you have 4 curves. Weave in ends.
Pepper Bottom Instructions
Work in continuous rounds:
- Chain 2
- Round 1: Work 6 sc in first chain
- Round 2: 2 sc in first sc, 2 sc, 2 sc in next stitch, 2 sc - 8 st
- Round 3: 2 sc in first sc, 3 sc, 2 sc in next stitch, 3 sc - 10 st
- Round 4: 2 sc in first sc, 4 sc, 2 sc in next stitch, 4 sc - 12 st
- Round 5: 2 sc in first sc, 5 sc, 2 sc in next stitch, 5 sc - 14 st
Fold embroidery floss in half and cut. Using both pieces of floss, thread into the top of the pepper. Braid. When you reach the desired length tie overhand knot and cut off extra floss.
