  • For a small dishcloth, chain 29; for a large dishcloth, chain 35

Step-by-Step Instructions

Row Instructions

Row 1: 1 hdc in 2nd ch from hook, and in each chain across row, ch 2, turn.

Row 2: Working in back loop, 1 hdc in each hdc across row, 1 hdc in turning ch, ch 3, turn.

Row 3: 1 dc in first hdc, * ch 2, skip 2 hdc, 1 dc in each of next 2 hdc, repeat from * across row, end, skip 2 hdc, 1 dc in next hdc, and 1 dc in top of turning ch, ch 3.

Row 4: 1 dc in first dc, * ch 2, skip 2 ch sp, 1 dc in next 2 dc, repeat from * across row, end 1 dc in last dc, and 1 dc in top of turning ch, ch 2, turn.

Row 5: 1 hdc in each dc and 2 hdc in each 2 ch space across row, end 1 hdc in top of turning ch, ch 2, turn.

Repeat rows 2 to 5 for 4 repeats for large, 3 for small, then work row 2, fasten off, weave in yarn ends.
