Create Your Own Knitted Garment with Violet Yarn



You’ll Need:
150 (175)g of violet yarn (73% Superkid mohair, 18% silk, 9% polyester; 175m/25g);
Knitting needles 3.5.
Size: S (M).
Used Patterns
Stockinette Stitch: in RS rows – knit sts, in WS rows – purls;
Marked Decreases: in the beginning of the row = 1 selvedge st, 1 knit st, knit2tog with left decline;
In the end of row: knit to the last 4 sts, knit2tog, 1 knit st, 1 selvedge st;
Garter Stitch: all knit sts;
Relief Pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple of 18 + 1 (5) + 2 selvedge sts. Work according to the scheme, on which only RS rows are stated, make WS rows according to the ornament or instructions, yarn overs – as purls. Start with 1 selvedge st, 0 (2) sts of stockinette stitch, pattern repeat, finish with st after pattern repeat, 0 (2) sts of stockinette stitch, 1 selvedge st. Repeat 1st-20th rows continuously.
Stitches Control: stockinette stitch: 20 sts x 29 rows = 10 x 10 cm;
Relief pattern: 19 sts x 28 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Instructions
Upper Part of Back
Cast on 80 (88) sts and work with stockinette stitch. At the same time, make marked decreases in the 3rd row from the set-up row – 1 x 1 st from both sides for arm-holes, then, 4 x 1 st in every 2nd row = 70 (78) sts. In 16 cm = 46 rows (18 cm = 52 rows) from the set-up row, bind off the central 42 (44) sts for the neck-hole and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, make marked decreases – 3 x 1 st in every 2nd row. In 18.5 cm = 54 rows (20.5 cm = 60 rows) from the set-up row, bind off the rest 11 (14) sts for each shoulder.
Right Bottom Part of Back and Right Front
Cast on 50 (53) sts and work with stockinette stitch for the bottom part of the back. In 20 cm = 58 rows (22 cm = 64 rows) from the set-up row, place marker for the right side line in the left edge. In 40 cm = 116 rows (44 cm = 128 rows) from the set-up row, increase 1 x 1 st along the right edge for the neck-hole chamfer, then, 26 (28) x 1 st in every 4th row, for this, make 1 knit st and 1 cross knit st from 1 selvedge st. At the same time, in 55 cm = 160 rows (59 cm = 172 rows) from the set-up row, bind off 1 x 6 sts along the left edge, then, make marked decreases of 22 (24) x 1 st in every 2nd row. After the last decrease for arm-holes or in 71 cm = 206 rows (76.5 cm = 222 rows) from the set-up row, bind off 1 x 30 (32) sts for each shoulder along the left edge.
For the back part of the collar, continue work on the rest 19 (20) sts with stockinette stitch, make marked decreases along the left edge for collar chamfer – 6 (7) x 1 st in every 4th row.
At the same time, in 5 cm = 14 rows (6 cm = 18 rows) from the beginning of the collar, bind off 1 x 2 sts and 4 x 2 sts in every 2nd row.
In 8.5 cm = 24 rows (9.5 cm = 28 rows) from the beginning of the collar, bind off the rest 3 sts.
Left Bottom Part of Back and Left Front
Work in reflection to the right half.
Sleeves
Cast on 55 (59) sts for each sleeve and make 0.5 cm = 3 rows of garter stitch for the placket, starting with 1 WS row, increase 1 st from both sides in the last row = 57 (61) sts. Continue work with the relief pattern. In 25 cm = 70 rows (21.5 cm = 60 rows) from the placket, increase 1 x 1 st from both sides for sleeve chamfer, then, 3 (4) x 1 st in every 10th row, 3 (4) x 1 st of stockinette stitch = 65 (71) sts. Make “beads”, as stated on the scheme as soon as you start making increases. In 43 cm = 120 rows from the placket, continue work on all with pattern 1, at the same time with changing the pattern, bind off 1 x 3 sts from both sides for sleeve cap, then, 1 x 2 sts in every 2nd row, 1 x 2 sts, 13 x 1 st, 2 x 3 sts. In 11.5 cm = 34 rows from changing the pattern, bind off the rest 17 (23) sts.
