Knitting with 100% Wool Yarn: Patterns and Instructions




Materials Needed
You'll need:
- 600g of 100% wool yarn (120m/50g);
- Knitting needles 6 and 7.

Used Patterns
Garter Stitch
Knit stitches.
Weaver Pattern
Follow the scheme 1. The quantity of stitches is multiplied 13 + 10 -1 - 5 + 2 selvedge stitches. Only right-side rows are stated on the scheme.
Size XS
1 selvedge stitch, 4 stitches before pattern repeat A, (pattern repeat B) x 4 times, 5 stitches before pattern repeat C, 1 stitch after pattern repeat C, 1 selvedge stitch;
Size S
1 selvedge stitch, 6 stitches before pattern repeat B, (pattern repeat B) x 4 times, 8 stitches after pattern repeat B, 1 selvedge stitch;
Size M
1 selvedge stitch, 4 stitches before pattern repeat A, (pattern repeat A) x twice, (pattern repeat B) x 4 times, 5 stitches before pattern repeat C, (pattern repeat C) x twice, 1 stitch after pattern repeat C, 1 selvedge stitch.
Repeat rows 1-28.
Relief Pattern
Work with knitting needles 6 and 7 on an odd quantity of stitches according to scheme 2. Only right-side rows are stated on the scheme. Make wrong-side rows according to the previous row's stitches or the description. Start with 1 selvedge stitch, pattern repeat, 1 stitch after the pattern repeat, 1 selvedge stitch.

Stitches Control
Weaver pattern: 11.5 stitches x 25.5 rows = 10 x 10 cm;
Relief pattern: 14 stitches x 26 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Instructions
Back
Cast on 64-68-72 stitches with knitting needles 7 and work with the weaver pattern according to scheme 1.
After knitting 154 rows (= 60.5 cm) from the beginning of work, make 6 rows (= 3 cm) of garter stitch for the placket with knitting needles 6.
Bind off the stitches as knit stitches. Divide them into the central 36 stitches for the neck-hole and side 14-16-18 stitches for shoulders.
Front
Make in the same way as the back.
Sleeves
Cast on 33-37-41 stitches with knitting needles 7 for each sleeve and work with the relief pattern according to the scheme.
Increase 1 stitch x 8 in every 14th row from both sides according to the scheme for widening. You should get 49-53-57 stitches.
After knitting 126 rows (= 48.5 cm) from the beginning of work, bind off the stitches.
Assembly
Make shoulder seams. Sew up the sleeves and make side and sleeve seams.
