Knitting with 100% Bamboo Yarn: Instructions and Patterns

On the scheme, you can see only the right side of your work; knit stitches and yarn overs in wrong side rows with purls. You should get 27 sts x 37 rows in stockinette stitch (10 x 10 cm).

Instructions

Front

Cast on 112 sts for the 1st row, knit 6 cm of rib. Turn to stockinette stitch pattern, adding 1 st in every 3 sts on the 1st row. As a result, you should get 150 sts. Knit 15 cm after rib, then start forming side chamfers. Add 1 st from each side. Make such increases three times in every 6 rows, 4 in 4 rows, and 4 in a row. Knit the front to a length of 27 cm from the rib, cast on 70 sts for the sleeves from both sides of the front. You should get 304 sts in total. Then knit 13 cm of stockinette stitch. Work with lace ornament according to the scheme. The height of the lace ornament is 7 cm. After that, you should knit a right side row with purls and bind off all the sts of the last row.

Back

Cast on 112 sts and make a rib 6 cm long. After that, continue with the stockinette stitch. At the height of 2 cm from the rib, divide your work into two halves and form each part separately. Make chamfers inside the work, decreasing 1 st from the outer side in every third row. In the process, add the sts of the side chamfer as used for making the front. To make it, knit back to the height of 27 cm from the rib, cast on 70 sts for the sleeve, and knit 13 cm straight. Leave the obtained cloth, and then make the second part of the back in analogy with the first. At this stage, cast on 57 sts between the sides and knit 7 cm with a lace ornament. Then make 1 row of purls. After that, bind off the sts of the last row. Adding back, form a lace inset to the edge. To do this, cast on 288 + 1 + 2 selvedge sts. Then mark the central st with a contrast thread and knit the lace ornament, decreasing 1 st from both sides from the center. After finishing the lace part, make 1 row of purls and finish the row.

Assembly

Sew the lace edge along the inner edges of the back, sew your work in the shoulders and also along the sleeve and side seams.
