Crochet Dress for Kids Aged 2-3 Years

You’ll Need:

Thin 100% cotton yarn Anne Circulo;

Crochet hook 1.75;

1 button.

Size:

2-3 years.

Fancy pattern: due to the scheme.

Row with holes: *2 double crochets, 1 chain stitch*; repeat from * to * to end of row.

Picot: 3 chain stitches, 1 single crochet in the 1^st chain stitch.

Instructions:

Front and Back:

Make 90 chain stitches + 3 chain stitches increase. Make increases in the 3^rd chain stitch: 2 double crochets, 3 chain stitches, 2 double crochets.

1^st row: 15 double crochets, 3 chain stitches, 15 double crochets, 3 chain stitches, 30 double crochets, 3 chain stitches, 15 double crochets, 3 chain stitches, 15 double crochets;

2^nd row: 15 double crochets, increase, 15 double crochets, increase, 30 double crochets, increase, 15 double crochets, increase, 15 double crochets;

3^rd row: 17 double crochets, increase, 17 double crochets, increase, 34 double crochets, increase, 17 double crochets, increase, 17 double crochets.

Repeat 1^st-3^rd rows to the 10^th row, making increases. After that, divide your work into sleeves and skirt.

Make 1 row with holes.

Skirt:

Work on the first 33 double crochets, leave 51 unfinished double crochets (for the sleeve), make the next 66 double crochets (front), leave 51 unfinished double crochets (second sleeve), and work on the last 33 double crochets. Finish the row with slip stitch.

Continue crocheting around.

Turn to fancy pattern (due to the scheme); you should make 16 motifs.

Make 18 rows and start making increases of 1 double crochet in every 3^rd row between 4 double crochets, in 33^rd row – between 9 double crochets. Finish your work.

Assembly:

Fasten the edges of your dress by means of 1 row of picot.

Make button-hole by means of chain of chain stitches, attach the yarn to the end of cut on the back.

Sew the button.

Make a cord (chain of chain stitches) – 120 cm – and insert it through the holes in the pattern at chest level.
